    Does anyone have, or know of, where i could get a
    2001 pug 306 automatic 2.0ltr gearbox/transmission from

    Hi David, this will almost certainly be an "AL4" automatic. Rebuilt boxes are quite dear and are not universally loved.

    Be sure any used gearbox comes from a 306 or Xsara with the same capacity of motor.

    Earlier (pre 1999?) N5 306 XSi's had the XU10J4R 2.0L 16v engine and the ZF 4HP14 auto transmission. I've got a 1998 N5 XSi and the ZF is still great at 190k kms. From what you read on here, avoid the AL4!

    I have an auto in a 1.8 litre N3 1995 in Hobart. If You decide to go down that path let me know
