    Default 2001 306 Ralle

    Hi everyone i'm new here,

    i just bought my first car, a 2001 306 N5 Ralle.

i need to get rotors and pads in the next few weeks along with having the timing belt changed,
does anyone here know of any good websites to buy these items from or any other upgrades or changes,
that are within reason to have done to the vehicle while this maintenance is done.

so far i have found one main website Online Performance Autos - Australia?s Online Auto Parts Specialist

logically thinking each rotor and pad should be identical? (just flipped for either side of the car)

    for rotors i have found:

Rear: Peugeot 306 ALL MODEL +R/Disc Brake 93-03 Rear Disc Brake Rotors Pair - 3H

    Front: Peugeot 306 2.0i 2.0i 16V 93-03 Front Disc Brake Rotors Pair - 3H

now i'm no mechanic but the diameter of front VS rear is different, and one specifics all models and the other 2.0 for which i am guessing the engine size?

    Brake pads:

Rear: PEUGEOT 306 ALL MODELS 93-03 RDA Brake Pads Rear

    Front: PEUGEOT 306 1.4i, 1.6i, 1.8 93-03 RDA Brake Pads Front

Again i'm just guessing by the name that front and rear are different, i couldn't find all model front pads from the same company.

Timing belt, this is probably the harder one, i'm guessing that with the big services its a guessing game if or if not tensioners will be needed?

    PEUGEOT 306 1996 - 2002 2.0L 4 Cyl. DOHC (XU10J4R) Eng. Gates Timing Belt T1583

    PEUGEOT 306 2.0L 4 Cyl. (XU10) 1996-02 Timing Belt

XU10J4R Parts List - Precision International

for the last link "precisionintl.com" i read in the forums here that the Ralle is just a re-badged XT?

I have probably said a fair bit of misguided or silly things but if anyone has the time to correct me and guild me in the right direction i would greatly appreciate it and so would my 306.

Front and rear discs and pads are different. They're not difficult to fit.

You could try European Auto Imports (EAI) for Disctech pads. They stop well and don't produce much dust.

With regard to the timing belt, you should change the water pump as well. I got my kit from Online Performance in WA. It's a Dayco kit and has everything except the water pump.

We try to support the firms that sponsor our forum. Have a look around the site and you will see their names. EAI and Caravelle are two of them,

i also recommend making a free account at Peugeot service box.
select english as the language and go to registration

    Select "Other professional motor repairer
eg : garage equipment manufacturers, bodyshops, ...."

this will give you access to part numbers etc.

I ordered the parts late on a Wednesday and they were delivered to my door by Friday morning, amazing considering it came from Melbourne to regional NSW.

All parts are genuine from France and Germany.
