Default Peugeot 206 high beam drops off to low?

The car has the sensor in the windscreen and the later type multi-switch assembly.
Driving along the headlights dip themselves .
Is it a relay or the switch or faulty sensor?
Really annoying as we are in the country and the lights just go to low beam.

    Any ideas?

My first hunch is the switch or relay, and probably the switch in the com2000 unit. The auto sensor doesn't deal with high beam, only with lights on or off altogether.

Sounds like another com2000 fault. But another symptom. One way to quickly test is to get in the car. turn all the lights on and give the steering wheel a few whacks. you'll find that certain whacks in certain places triggers things to turn on or off or both.

Its just faulty design. if the com2000 was more modular it would make replacing and repairing much easier. Especially the newer ones the older ones from what ive seen at least have modularity in the left and right stalks
