Default Any logic to Peugeot Car Sizes?

I had a look at a 208 today and it looked as big as a 308. The 4008 is smaller than the 3008 and god knows how many other anomalies are there?

Is there a logic to the model number and size?

There is a large difference in size between a 308 and a 208.

The larger models are bigger than the smaller ones. The numbers are there to satisfy the whims of astrologers.

I think they're just using the numbers that are left

Odd thing I heard that Porsche originally wanted to call the first 911 the 901, but Peugeot objected saying they had rights on every three digit number with 0 in the middle, hence the 911.
Does make me wonder how Ferrari got the 308 though.

Boing must have had a lot of difficulty with the 707 and the British army with the .303.

I thought the argument was between BMW and Mazda over the "2" in the middle of the 323?
Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone............
