    Default 405mi16 wheels

Just wondering if anyone knows whether a set of 405 wheels are a direct fit onto a 1999 406.

They should be, it will depend on the offset mostly. You might have issues with 15" rims on a coupe with brake clearance.

Yeah as said they won't fit over coupe front brakes. But they will bolt on a sedan but will look funny as they won't sit out far enough. You could be successful with spacers

They fit on the rear but jam up just on the front callipers good chance could fit with the judicious application of a nine inch grinder the genuine wheels don't clear by much worth a try they are a half inch narrower but

Mi16 wheels are 29mm offset, whereas 406 are 19-20mm. That 9mm difference has the wheels too far inboard as cav91 said.
