Default Necessity of PRV Engine Oil Cooler

    Just a quick one.

For "daily driver 605" grade use at this time of year, is the oil cooler really needed? I've got shedloads of oil in my coolant again (it disappeared for eighteen months) and wondering if the cooler may be failing.

    Thanks, Adam.

Nope, I always junk them straight away and screw the filter straight to the block. Even the auto ones. They are easy to test for leaks though. And china air/oil coolers are very cheap these days.

Cheers, a header tank full of oil was the last thing I need at the moment.
