Default Peugeot 206 odometer function gone blank??

Really annoying with my own car which has always worked perfectly, i got in the car one morning and there is no odometer function just blank, although the speedo still works.

Never had the speedo removed, engine washed or diagnostic scanner used on it.

I changed the instrument panel with a working one but still no odo display, tried another from a working car , same result.
Is this something Maxidiag can fix?

    Cheers .

I suspect the cause will be a dry joint on the speed sensor (a misnomer perhaps). If you've tried changing instrument panels, I don't expect a computer diagnosis will help, but I don't know a lot about this model.

I have a spare car in the shed , so will swap the sensor , might work. Perhaps just partial failure of info getting through?

No lights on the odo display.
    Thanks, something to try.

It sounds like a slightly corrupted BSI, the mileage display is likely to be driven by the same wires - pins 1,7,3,9 as for darn near everything else.
