Default 307 heated mirrors - on? in tropics?

We were talking to a friend last night (min 17.5c 'round dawn) Susan pointed out Elena's mirrors were hot; I ventured to suggest that that was a thing, if redundant here.
Looking for demising controls and finding nothing to turn off E. agreed when I said I could ask you guys ...
    thanks in advance

    Diesel I presume??

That's your HDi engine in 'regeneration' mode. That's it running hotter to purge all the soot from the DPF. The mirrors heat up as an indication to users/mechanics what's going on. You'll also note the engine temp gauge a little higher and, the engine cooling fan running.

[In regards to them clearing mist, usually done via the 'rear window demist' button IIRC on our old T6 307.]
