    Default 306 Hdi Camshaft reseal

    Hi all,
Looking to do some major work on my 306 next week because it's due for the timing belt, and one of the jobs on my list of things to do is to reseal the top of the head.
The spot I'm talking about is the plate that sits under the rocker cover that holds the camshaft in. It's a common spot for DW10's to leak.
There is no gasket on this plate so I wanted to get you opinions on what is the best sealant to use.
I'm leaning towards high quality silicon gasket replacement, like ultra gray or the like.
Dose anyone have experience with this and what has worked best for you.

Also if you'd like to give my any tips or tricks when it comes to doing this job I'd appreciate it.

Thanks in advanced, and looking forward to you comments.
    Michael.

I've used the permatex grey and blue. Both have high temp ranges and oil resistant.

Thanks for the input. I was leaning towards the same staff myself.
