My brother reckons he saw a Peugeot yesterday that 'looked like an Audi R8', wonder if it was one of these being taken for a test drive? The two-tone colour scheme he described sounds similar (black roof on dark red body). It more closely resembles a TT of course but my brother is frequently an idiot.

I've seen maybe a handful of RCZ's (not R's) on the road and sure they're a head turner, but a bit too feminine in my opinion. I think they could have made the 'R' tougher by fitting with the Bathurst 12 hour rear wing.

I like the styling of the Scirocco R better and it's $20-25K cheaper.

I don't like how big its arse is for no apparent reason...if it was MR then I could see the justification. It's comparable to how the first Audi TT was kind of ugly, then they made it a fastback for the redesign and it became sex on wheels visually. Peugeot got the double bubble right and the front isn't bad, but everything behind the B pillar is way off the mark IMO.

I love the whole thing and would buy one if they were sold in Canada.

Looks to be on par with a TT of similar output, and that's not the 5-banger RS so probably wouldn't handle as well.

The TT RS costs $151,000 on the road. The bottom of the range TT costs $76,000 on the road.

The bog standard RCZ which has been around for quite some time (and of which there are three different combos) is $64-65,000 on the road.

I could never take them seriously once I found out that "TT" stood for "turns turtle" ...

Love it. Its apparently a ball tearer on the track also.

Peugeot spirt have thrown new suspension LSD and brakes at it. It laps circuits in similar times as a 370z. The videos ive seen show it oversteering lots!!

To me it looks as though the committee couldn't agree on the design of the front grill. Their indecision resulted in both styles being fitted. Otherwise it's ok as a more modern interpretation of the classic Audi TT.

(Lot of understeer in one of the video scenes, 2.52secs.)

From certain angles of it going around that track it looks almost like the VW Karmann Ghia but updated to now.

The black roof is carbon fibre... They are very nice indeed. We have had a RCZ (200hp model) for a few months now, and they are a very fun drive!
