    Icon4 Possible clutch problems

    Hi all,

I have a problem with my Pug 307 manual. on standing starts it feels as if the clutch is 'slipping', the engagement of the gears doesnt feel at crisp as like it was when it was new (which wasnt that long ago!). The gears dont seem to engage as precisely as some other cars i've owned and driven.
On hills even when i give it more gas the car seems to struggle from take off ofter jerking/struggling a bit.

Does anyone have similar problems or could give suggestions for this? or is this a peugeot trait?

    Thanks in advance

    Tim

I've always found the 307 clutch to be quite vague. It doesn't help that the accelerator lacks a lot of feel being a fly-by-wire device.

It's a hydraulic clutch, so it wouldn't be the cable, would it? I don't know if a hydraulic clutch has a cable, the GTI6 had a cable clutch only, as your 405 Madbiker.

My 306 has a cable clutch.

How many Km/l?? the car done

And if its not that old just get peugeot to sorted out, unless they find it to be your clutch plate is burnt out and may say its a wear and tear item so may not be covered by warranty.

    Good luck

I think since 206 all the RHD got hydraulic clutch. As the LHD RHD conversion won't fit the cable ???

does the clutch pedal bounce back when you release it ?

I had a grabbing clutch like that before on my 206 and the dealer changed the clutch cylinder, then it works fine since. It might need a ube with the linkages every now and then...

    hope this helps...
