I have owned a couple of CTi's however they were all manual roof tops. If this is one is really electric then i am thinking maybe it is a later model e.g. 93

That excellent website http://205gti.info told me :-)

    Peugeot 205 GTI values-ddk4.png

As I said previously, JA & HK cars along with AU got the DFZ to meet the pollution regulations and these we replaced with DKZ engines in later vintages. I don't have much information on the HK models.

Dear God, I don't think anyone would own up to that example!

As the CTi's were all personal imports it would be pretty difficult to determine... I know of two in Victoria.

I wonder what she'd -actually- take for it, the interior and external trim looks good. I could use it for bits and sell the CTi shell to someone who... wants such a thing.

    CTi16 anyone?

    Not sure of that.

I remember seeing a semi with 5 or 6 brand new CTi's being delivered in Sydney, years ago.

I know of an import dealer here in Brissie who brought in 4 of them from Japan...... low k's, VGC.
He couldnt sell them after 6 months and told me he learnt a lesson about CTI's.
He paid $3k for each.....for sale at $7k

Be interesting to see where they are now.

I would presume that they were ex JA... even if new. They would have had to do some ADR work on them... anti-intrusion bars etc, but the engines would have been compliant.

All of the CTi's over her that I have VINs for have either been ex JA, HK or GB... ie: RHD countries.

    Just out of interest, Quote:

    " 28-09-09, 08:23 AM
I was running JRA Cars who were the Peugeot importers back inthe 80's when the 205GTI was launched locally in 1987 . It really was great carbut like all Peugeots the build quality was not upto Japanese standards so theyhave not worn well. We've had a Peugeot 206 since 2001 and whilst it has beentotally reliable the build quality is still not top line.
The problem with buying a 205GTI today is that few were imported into Australiaso finding a good one will be very difficult .You're talking about 20 year oldmass produced cars here . Most were thrashed to within an inch of their livesback in the 90s before they reacquired cult status .The few good GTIs aroundare very much treasured . Parts are also an issue as much of the trim and manyother parts are no longer freely available .What you will not find locally (and probably not anywhere else either ) is
the softtop version -the 205 CTI.JRA bought one in as an evaluation vehicle and it redefined the term"scuttle shake" . It had the torsional rigidity of a wet paper bag .Sadly none of the turbo charged mid engined versions ( 205 Turbo16) ever madeit down here -- they were only LHD . I did have a wild demo ride in one withAri Vatanen driving -unforgettable- at a dealer event in France and still havea copy of the very rare Turbo 16 brochure .
Summary on the 205GTI -- a great car but finding a really good one locally isup there with the chances of finding rocking horse droppings .

Based on this listing from last night on carsales it seems the pricing has collapsed

    Peugeot 205 GTI values-2027320355032142801.jpg

Then again it seems to have been listed and sold in a single day .... hope someone here picked it up to give it another life

It's really only the S3 that are worth anything.

Condition rather than series is more important imo. Shorter gearing in the earlier models is more fun and power steering not required. The s3 alloys are to die for though.

I donít have a description for that car, but on the pic alone it was a giveaway price. Not surprised it seems to have sold immediately.
Also appear to be a bit of a 205 GTI drought at the moment.
That car would certainly have had my interest had I seen it🤤

Wasn't it offered for sale very recently? At nothing like that price....

It doesn't look like any work has been done since.
