Stock everything unless your on the track otherwise pointless as holes in boat. Ditch the slotted drilled stuff as the metals are usually rubbish. Get some brembo rotors for the front in the same size. Leave the rear standard as it will be more efficient. Youll never over heat them on the road. If you are your driving too fast or theres something wrong.

Brembo pads are just Ferodo pads rebranded.

I am currently running Ferodo DS3000 fronts with slotted discs. Pads are wearing much faster than the discs.
I get two or three track days before pedal travel is a bit disconcerting.
I was thing of going to Pagid or Endless. I have a set of 406 Brembo I was going to change to at last resort.

    Any other suggestions?

    Thanks

    Sorry for hijacking

Yeah, I use DS3000 for track days, and stock peugeot pads day to day. Ruined a fair few DS2500's, still on the first set of DS3000.

My track days are at Mallala.
Which is renowned for being harsh on pads.

agree with Cam here I've been running red stuff for a year now biggest waste of money I've spent once these have run out I'm going back to pagid oem spec pads on my VTS which I've had before from E.C.P UK but will keep my brembo disks these seem to last longer then the pagid disks I ran before.

Is it pedal travel because of the pads or because the fluid is dead?

I tend to find it's always the fluid that causes the pedal travel in my cases. I've spoken to a couple old rally guys who commented about putting a small soft spring in the piston to help stop the pads from moving back to far as the seals on the pistons would pull the pads back away from the disc face.

I think the main problem is the pads are wearing unevenly.
As the pads are tapered when the pressure is off they spring back leaving a large gap.
The take up of the gap is causing the pedal travel.

    The spring idea is interesting.
I pull a wheel off and work out some dimensions in next couple of days.

    Thanks,

    Brett

Make sure the slides are clean, lubed, and working properly.

When you have the wheel off also get someone to push the brake pedal and have a look at the movement of the pads.

Subaru used a similar set-up in Group N Rallying, it really is an "Anti-knock off spring". The rating is really low IIRC, something like 2 to 3 pounds of force. Just enough to keep the pad up to the disc but not enough to engage/drag the brakes.
If you can eliminate pad knock back any other way that's fine. Ron Harrop made a swivel foot pivot so early Torana's didn't taper wear the front pads when racing.

Or change your calipers for gti6 items. They don't tend to wear the pad unevenly like yours do.

CL pads are what I want!! Just too expensive

Are you guys using custom brake lines? Won't pedal travel increase if you're using stock rubber brake-lines as they expand (thus reducing fluid pressure)

    Yep,I am running braided lines.
Never ran rubber on this car.
But it made a big difference on one of the others.
