One of the later Simca Sports perhaps? Or more likely , one of the various Arondé coupés? Sort of Sunbeam and Skoda elements there somehow too.

    Cheers

I was gonna say Ford Comète Sport...after all, many of the Simcas (larger ones at least) started life as French Fords.

The grille of the car Ray posted is different than the Simcas shown on the other page, so does that mean it IS a Ford?

Now I'm not sure... I think I might have been sold a pup.

This is from an Atlas thread about Eugene Martin cars... and it's supposed to be a car built round 203 bits.

Other pics seem to indicate it may not be, though this isn't the way the posts are being made...

    Have a look for yourselves...

Nice to hear from you, by the way, Mike...

Shame they don't build cars like that but with mod cons. perhaps its for the best. cheers for that Ray

When compared with the other photos, the grill looks very Salmson doesn't it? Grills tend to live longer than body shapes. Have a look at http://amicale.salmson.free.fr/galerie/?cmd=image&image=./2l3/Image46.jpg&lang=fr& apercu=2l3

Thank you... it's intriguing to see this string of cars with such similar styling... and similar to the 300SL as well!

And elements of styling incorporated into a lost of later vehicles - Peugeot 403, the Volvo Coupe and the 122, maybe even a touch of it in the early DS, etc etc?

Its a very pretty little car. I want one! Anyone know if there are any in Australia?

    Cheers
