    Icon6 406 Coupe from Perth

    Hi folks.

Thought I'd introduce myself before I start browsing the forums here. My name's Mitch, I live in Perth. Here's a link to my 406 Coupe:

    G'day Mitch

    Welcome to Aussie frogs!

I'd like to ask you about your wheels. Where Did you get them? How big are they? And do the fit over the brakes or Did you use spaces?

    Hey mate

Small brand called Concave Concept that just started out. Got them from On the Run Motorsports in Melbourne, really good blokes.
fronts are 19x8.5J, rears are 19x9.5J with 245/35 Nexens all round (the rears have a bit of stretch to keep a near identical contact patch to the front). They fit over the brakes eeeaaasily... I'm running 20mm spacers but it still clears without them. Highly concaved wheels.
Oh, offset is +22 for the wheels (stock offset being 12mm), so with the 20mm spacers it's effectively +2... 10mm wider each side.

    Lowered on coilovers too.

The spring rate of the coilovers seems quite high as it's very bouncy over bumps. Very steady around corners though. Damping of vibrations is really good though, quite composed. The tyre size doesn't make the ride too harsh, it's still fine.

    SilverGTI_6, show us yours!

Thanks for the kind words folks.

Unfortunately I don't own her anymore, but i fitted 19" TSW reflex to mine many years ago and wasn't happy with the offset or width, so ended up changing them to 19" DeCorsa Polaris. My brother still owns it now! Makes me smile every time I see it! You don't see many modified in Australia. Love that you got 9.5s on the rear. There is a lot of space in there.

Are you on the 406 coupe owner's club forums? I remember seeing a coupe with these TSW's! Number plate seems familiar too... What were the details on the width and offset then, what didn't you like about them? I think the 5-spoke look is perfect for the car.

Also what site do you use to upload your images to this forum, I was hoping trouble with getting mine the right size so I just linked the URL.

Lovely looking car. I have one in the same colour but have never considered changing the wheels....

    ...until now

The camber on the rear looks awesome, is it the standard amount?

Agreed on the 5 spoke mate. Yep, haven't checked in a while, but on the 406 coupe forum. The TSWs. Write only 7" wide and similar to standard offset. They sat in too far and looked reeally skinny, even after fitting spacers.

I use photobucket. There are possibly better ones around these days, but I've used it for a while so just stuck with it!

Do you have any more pics of your car? I'd love to see a pic from the rear with the 9.5s!

Nice I haven't modified the camber at all. It's because of the ride height; lower suspension = negative camber

I can imagine. My last set of wheels were similar spec, just wasn't right.
