One owner ,original paint ,no rust ever ,means it would be a great car.

This car appears to have a white dash and steering wheel ,which seem to be original from reading the description [stored since 1970] .Very unusual.

Not unusual for lhd cars, we are probably unusual in being black.

oh such a sweet car, about the only thing I'd swap my 403 & Ti for.

I want to argue about the colour designation though, looks awfully blue to me ...

Julian, the description is hard to believe I know, but I am living the dream as Roy and HG would say.

Normally I would have thought that a 65 404 would be without power assisted brakes. What a beauty.

'65 cars were available fitted with thermostable drum brakes, which had a booster. I have a '65 404L (seven seat wagon) ex-UK with these brakes, worm drive rear axle etc. It has the same pattern door trims (two tone blue & very sad)

The thermostables are a real b*^%$ even with the 3rd fitting shoes. It had second fitting shoes when I first started running it and these would lock on going forwards. You also get big differences in pedal hieght unless the adjusters are right up- then they drag or lock on...
If I put it back on the road I'll convert to either non-assisted twinplex (normal) or disks.

    That's a gorgeous car though.

And I'm sure that won't be the final figure, once the new owner starts to replace rubbers and seal etc that have gone hard or perished over the years. But she was still a thing of beauty!!
