    Default Redex Rerun Channel 7

The Rerun segment on the Redex Rerun was screened on Saturday night, I for one missed it as I was competing in a Rallysprint at Bendigo. It can be viewed at
Apia presents Time of My Life - Saturdays 6.30pm on 7Two
    It is Episode 4.
203 in outback footage was shot just north of Alice Springs, on the old Ghan road and a clay pan area area south of Alice Springs.

Yes Graham, very interesting rare coverage.
Also very interesting were the attached links mainly an E-Bay list of memorabilia for sale with early Redex and Repco Trial badges, programmes, models etc.
One item that caught my eye was an add for the book "Challenge Australia". This book covers the 1979 Repco Reliability Trial edited by Thomas Floyd.
E-Bay claim it to be quite rare, limited numbered copies etc. They are asking $2.500 !
Imagine my excitement because I have a copy, number 565 that I procured at the conclusion of the Repco. My involvement was purely as service crew for the SA Volvo Dealer Team.

With dollar signs flashing I'm thinking of asking for expressions of interest for my copy. Unmarked apart from "Flash" Flanagans autograph.

    Interested anyone?

Interesting, the entrants were offered these for $300 each.
I was a cheap skate and didn't buy one!
You can see a good picture of our red and white 404 wagon crossing a creek north Of Burra.

    Graham,
    $300 !! I don't think I would have forked out either.
I think mine may have been a gift from Volvo Australia for services rendered. Not much of this largesse handed around now by the big companys eh?

Anyway is anyone interest in my copy? PM me if you are shy.

It does seem a lot come to think of it.
Maybe Flash has a recollection of what it cost.
Whatever it was I thought it too expensive at the time.
I think the entry fee was only $600.

At least I tried.................and there was not much sleeping by anyone but you. Snoring is not the word it was more like a 2cv up a sandhill with a broken exhaust.
