Default Double acting late 504 wagon brake booster benificial on 504 Sedan or not?

A few years ago the booster on my early 504 wagon shit itself. I had a late 504 Wagon for parts, and noticed booster was twice as deep but same circumference? I got it overhauled and fitted it to my 504 wagon. The difference was Quite dramatic! The wagon has rear drums! If I fit one of these boosters( if I can find one??) would it be beneficial to my project rally car? I have 604( vented) discs to fit, with Commodore VL turbo ( Finned) calipers and standard rear discs? I know 505 boosters can be fitted, but inner wing needs to be modified. Are 505, and late 504 Master cylinders the same? Cheers Andy

Is your rally car a 504 sedan ?

505 master cylinders sit at a different angle on the booster. That is to say : the mounting studs are at a different angle.
Better to get a late 504 booster as you got last time.
