Default Plastic surround housing the wiper, turn indicator etc.

What type of screw head holds the upper and lower sections together? I have tried,Phillips, key wrench and flat, but can't get it. one of those frustrating things that spoils the day! Peter

Hard to tell from the description but it sounds like you are talking about a torx head screw - the French seem to love them! They require torx bits to undo - typically come in a small set and invaluable for any work on PSA cars.

I think you have solved the problem for me: why didn't I think of that? Thanks Pat. I appreciate your taking the time to respond. Cheers, PeterR

And the screws are usually black so you have trouble peering into the recessed areas to find them
