Default Just bought a 406 for the family

We just purchased this well kept example with just 80,000km. Should serve nicely as a family car. Not familiar with the "Monaco" edition, apparently has a few extras such as the 16" alloys, Rhemus exhaust, Eibach springs and the body kit - anyone know much about it?
First impressions: drives beautifully, extremely refined compared to anything I've ever driven. The engine is smooth, quiet and surprisingly spritely when fed the right foot. Probably the most comfortable seats I've owned, too, and the interior feels really solid. Quite chuffed really.
Wouldn't have usually chosen a red car but I think it actually looks quite nice on this model. Same could be said for the leather interior, but I really am enjoying it. Sorry about the dodgy phone pics, they don't really do the car justice.

I have been looking at that on Carsales. If I hadn't already had a nice 406 HDI I would have been seriously tempted. Good low-kms 406's are rare, and a manual V6 at that! Did you drive it back from Tamworth?

Tamworth to Adelaide is a sure long drive!

The Monaco was a limited edition - all were manual, 16 inch "Nimrod" alloy wheels, exhaust, suspension and the like!

    Thanks for the feedback,
Yeah it was a long drive, did it in one hit no problems - perfect car for it. Love the v6 manual combo.

5 speed manual V6 406s are brilliant. My coupe is by a country mile the best, most comfortable and reliable Peugeot I have ever owned. I love it

Hi chez00. Trust your 406 is still going well. Can you tell me if the 16 inch Nimrod wheels have a hole in the centre with a removable cover? I am really over not being able to get the standard 406 SV alloys balanced, and am looking at alternatives. Also what tyres/size are you running? Cheers Davo

There 16 inch with 205 55 16 tyres. The ride I couldn't notice a difference but that was before eibachs now its pretty firm (handles alot more responsive)
