    Default 306 Wiper Problem

The wiper only operates on the fastest speed. Do I look for the problem in the switch or at the w/motor, or elsewhere? PeterR

simplest way is swap the switch and see if it works, thats probably the problem, fish make sure ignition is off when you plug the switch in,or will blow a fuse, maybe.

Does your 306 have a rain sensor? If not there is blue relay behind the fuse box on the drivers side they can cause problems the motor itself does not control the speed.

I tried another switch, but next move will be when I try another wiper motor.

Wiper motor has three brushes, ground and two others, one opposite for high speed, the other about 110 degrees around from the ground brush for low speed. If it's run out of low speed brush, this would explain what you're seeing. Intermittent uses low speed.

    Have fun!

Bruce, you were right on track with this. I have just tried and then installed a replacement motor and all works well. Thank you for your advice.Peter
