    Default 307 hdi

    my 307 hdi 2litre has faulted twice in last 15 kl it has been comfirmed to be a egr valve, it appears not to be uncommon with model, once replaced what would be the expected life

    You don't say what year (there was more than one 2 litre engine used in 307s).

    Our 2006 T6 (updated, Series II) model had the EGR valve replaced under warranty at less than 10,000km (actually this was a Peugeot recall). We had no further problems with the EGR valve, and sold the car when it had done 75,000km.

    If it was mine it would be 24 hours. Either find somebody silly enough to buy or trade it, or if it's insured get it pinched and burnt. I had two, and they were both rubbish! Number one was taken back by Poogoo and replaced with another one at a loss of $4000 to us, but it was brand new. 13 weeks in the workshop in six months!

    it is a 2006 model with 75000kl
    its obvious a problem with this model
    My question is the replacement a fix ie modified
