Default Peugeot 206 GTi wheels - offset??

    Hi all,

Found a decent set of Sparco wheels that I'm considering purchasing for my GTi.

    As I understand, the 206 wheel specs are 4 x 108, ET25-28 Bore-65.1.

The wheels that are avaliable to me are 17x7 ET42 on 205/40 R17W.

Will they fit?? I'm clueless when it comes to wheel fitment

    Cheers!!

You need to find out the centre bore of the Sparco wheels and you will probably need some 15mm spacers with a hub-centric ring as the centre bore is likely to be larger. ET42 will sit far too inboard.

Have a play around on this and you'll work it out.

    ET42 + 15mm spacer = ET27, also spacers are illegal.

I would just get wheels designed to fit, then you don't need to muck around with spacers, hub-centric rings, longer wheel bolts/studs etc.

Definitely don't want the hassle of spacers...

They sound like Ford fitment plus as Frog mentioned spacers are illegal here in Victoria.

I have a set of 16 x 7" Italian Mak Racing wheels available, PCD 108, C/bore 65.1 ET 15. Recently re-rolled, stripped & powder coated in Bright White. No tyres, never used.

If interested, PM me for more info, pics, etc.

Are spacers legal in any state or territory? As for what I know they are not. (bearing in mind this is old details)

Sorry a bit of a thread hijack as well

Don't know what the other states/territories laws are regarding them, but if you had them fitted the first 2 obstacles you'll face will the the Police for an unroadworthy vehicle & your insurance company who are experts in finding ways to reject a claim.

I think the ideas of claims being declined, are probably based on very few instances, and particularly ones of overt modification or goading by the claimant. I'm yet to hear of one involving even a "friend of a friend" level of tenuous validity.

In my last at-fault claim the car was presented for assessment over-tyred and the assessor didn't blink - he was more impressed with the clean engine bay and service mileage written on the filters.

Thanks for the offer, however i'm only interested in fairly new OZ or Sparco lightweight wheels.

It's crazy the prices of some wheels from the US! Shame its not as easy to find the right offset...

    The search continues...
