    Default 205 GTi S3 wheel bearing part# ??

    Hi all.

Im having some trouble tracking down the exact part number or exact matched wheel bearing for my s3 GTi.

So far all I can gather is that the s1/2 are much different to the s3, where by the s1/2 bearings have a flat(ish) bearing-to-drive shaft mounting face.

The ones that are currently in my hubs have a chamfered inner to match the tapered mounting face for the shaft.

    Am i making sense?

The part number from EAI that they sent me is: P335016
On the invoice it says 405/306/206....?

Pictures are off a s1/2 shaft and a "tapered" s3 shaft...

Can anyone tell me what ones ill need?

edit* inner needs to be 42mm
    outer " " 82mm

    Thanks
    Julian

405 etc have the same bearing so that makes sense. How will you remove them?

They just press them out as far as I'm aware.

So should I be looking for the 405 bearing.

Does the chamfered inner on the bearing matter?

All 82mm bearings are the same. ITs used in 205, 206, 306, 309, 405 and 406, They also sits in Citroen ZX, Xsara, Xantia. So its quite easy to find
The part number from Peugeot are 3350 16

I've you're competent with a press it's not a problem. Be careful to support the carrier correctly and not rest on the brake mounts.

So what about the chamfered bearings there originally in the hubs...do they still exist?
They fit snug up against the s3 shaft...the bearing that Ive been sent is yes slightly chamfered as they all are...but not to the extent of what was in the hubs.

I get a suspension crowd to do it, but ill enquire as to how they support it when they press them out. One time they re-assembled my hubs on backwards...blame the apprentice. Possible too late. But ill ask.

Out of curiosity...what would it do if they did support it on the brake mounts? steering shudder upon slow braking?

    cheers

Look normal to me. In Norway i only check if i need 72mm or 82mm bearings and always getting the same 82mm part number no matter witch one i order too. If you register in the Service box the link i posted you will find the whole parts catalog of Peugeot. The 3350 16 bearing you will find in 205 s2 there are no S3 in service box, the same bearing you also find in 306, 405 and so on. There are also a service box for Citroen.
