Default 1979 504 GL air conditioner pump belt

    hi,

with the warmer weather coming, i thougth i should finally get around to replacing the belt that runs the pump for the air con..

it looks like the old one snapped at some point so i dont have any reference to take into bursons..

is there a standard sized one that i should ask for? or is it dependent on my particular set up.. the air con definitely looks after-market, but i thought there might be a standard one just for air conditioners in general..

Gus, probably the best you can do is measure it. Try a piece of light rope perhaps to get the length.

I reckon you might need to take the car to an air con specilaist if its been out of commission for a while - it might need a service, or topping up. It's always good to run air conditioning at least once a week to keep the seals lubricated, so if it's not been working there might be some slight problems.
