read this - I suppose it applies to the 307;

Autoparis change gearbox oil every 20'000km.
Current stash
too many.
Passed over stash
lots.
Both auto AND manual oil.
Current stash
too many.
Passed over stash

I probably wouldn't be replacing my manual gearbox oil every 20k, but most definitely would be thinking about changing it a 2nd time by 130k
Of course it wouldn't hurt to replace it every 20k...

Ok, will get onto it. Thanks all. Nuff said I think.
I am now trying to find out what is the correct oil. Nulon list a SAE 80 smooth shift. Other brands answer is refer to dealer, great. Any suggestions. I have some Valvoline GL-4 80W left over used in another car.
AFAIK, the "correct" oil is Esso Gear Oil BV 75W80 or Total Transmission 75W80.
There are any number of threads on slightly different oils from Castrol, like Syntrax, etc.
Penrite supply Trans Gear 75W80, Liqui-Moly supplies a 75W80 oil (which lists the PSA spec B71 2330 on the bottle).
Of course the dealers can supply the correct oil too.
Which one you use is up to you![]()
