    Default 2 in one week!

Well our family has owned in the past a 2000 406 Coupe D9 3L auto (an absolutely brilliant car and soooo good looking) and a 2004 307 Touring 2L 4 spd auto (shame about that Borg Warner!). Anyway we have been Pugless for a while but all that changed this week.

Tuesday saw me buying a 2008 307 Touring HDi 2L 6 spd auto for my daughter (very clean car with 88k on the clock). My daughter and her partner are in love with the vehicle already. Friday saw my wife and I buying a 2006 407 SW HDi 2.7L 6 spd auto for ourselves (only 34k on the clock). So 2 in one week is not bad going! The drive back from Sydney in the 407 was absolute heaven!!

I want to get some dealer service done on these vehicles and as we live in the Port Stephens area Pacific Euro in Newcastle is the closest dealer service to us. Does anyone have opinions on whether they are any good?

I also need to get a wheel rim for the 407 as there was no spare. Does anyone have a good wrecker they can point me at?

Arranged for a new rim through Nick at BM Spares. They were easy to deal with and the road freight from Melbourne won't break the bank either!

The vehicle was missing the owner's manual so I called up Pacific Euro and talked to Peter in spares dept. Two days later had manual and they posted it out to me. Good service and reasonable on the pocketbook.

So we will see what happens after my replacement keys arrive from the UK. Half the price of the Aussie ones and from a larger auto locksmith too not eBay! Will need Pacific Euro service to code the keys to the car but the local locksmith can cut the metal for me.

if you're going to let it serviced ask the dealer to change the oil of the auto gearbox. Peugeot says it is maintenance free but the supplier says it should receive new oil every 80.000km's. When used in severe conditions even sooner.

    Hello,

Nice choice of vehicles. We owned a 307 HDi Touring for several years before trading it in on a 4007 SUV.

We also own a 407 SV HDi 2.7L V6 Touring. It also is a 2006 model purchased with 47k travelled. Not a moments problem since ownership, with amazing comfort, power when needed & really good economy on the open road. It is worth trying the SPORTS selection on the suspension for either around town or open road. It becomes a personal preference for either setting, which always defaults back to the NORMAL setting when you turn off the ignition.

    Cheers,
    K

I think the last Peugeot with a Borg Warner was the 504...

Congrats on the dual Pug purchase!

Nice fleet!!! Am trying to sell our 307 HDi at the moment......should've got mine!

With regards to Pacific Euro, you will find they are brilliant. The good staff moved over from Regal Motors.

My folks, also in Pt Stephens, have had their 207/308/508 (HDi's) all looked after by Pacific Euro.....nothing has been a problem. With regard to the 508, it was sold, competitively, by Pacifc Euro.

The team at Pacific Euro remind me of the legends at Allan Mackay Autos in Moss Vale, NSW. It's worth looking after them too via word of mouth and, repeat business.
