Default WTB: 309 GTI Radiator, yep i said 309!

It's a long shot but i bought i brand new 205 Valeo radiator to find that it does not match my current '309 gti' one.

I spoke to Alpine Affair today and he explained that when they did the mi16 conversion they sourced a 309 radiator as it fit nicer.

If anyone has any leads to where i would find one please let me know.

P.S - If anyone needs a brand new, in the box, Valeo 205 radiator $250. Let me know!

Might be worth having a look at 8v Citroen BX radiators? From a quick Google image search they look similar in size to 309 radiators. Hose outputs are slightly different, is there an expansion bottle intergrated in the 309 rad?
I'm not sure on the accuracy of these pictures though.

Thanks for the pics frog. That is a great plan of the 309 radiator.
I think maybe my best option is getting an alloy one specifically made up.

Just looking at my radiator i noticed that your drawing and every other 309 radiator i can find in the uk is missing an extra connection that is on mine.

Was that 309 radiator from a 16V 309? Where did that extra outlet lead to? oil cooler?

    Spot on Frog!
It is for the oil cooler. I didn't even know they made a 16v 309.

Good advice but the closest thing I found was a fan shroud.
    Cheers anyway.

Alternatively, you could call my old Peugeot mechanic in Wellington NZ, he had a 309 GTi for a long time (but I haven't lived there in 7 years), he'd likely know where to get one. Chuni Govan at Capital European +64 4 5647504

Not sure if it will help, theres a site i found a while back sells peugeot performance parts in the uk and the 309 is definitely on there, might be worth a look they seem to have a bit.
    Site is www.ecosse-peugeot.co.uk

    Funny you said that.
I stopped by Richmond radiators and spoke to a bloke there who may be able to replace the core and i mentioned that both radiators are very similar and may be able to swap/use parts from the BX.

i just checked on my radiator & it does have the extra outlet but it's plugged. i did a bit of a search & i think the outlet is for carby cooling. my 309 does have a water cooled oil cooler & it's the same type of set-up as the 205 with the 2 hoses coming off the hose that goes from the radiator to the thermo.
