    Default WTB - 16x7 Rims

    I'm after 6 rims, 16x7, 12 to 19mm offset (ET+12 - ET+19) to suit a Peugeot. Any rims considered. Prefer Victorian vendor.

    Cheers.

Hey mate, I have a Series 2 Mi, and am running a set of the early 307 5 spoke mags, they are 16 x 6.5, saw there were a few saets of these rims on ebay, thought it might help, one thing though, not spaced they run really close to the inside of the guard and shocks, but even 3 mm spacers suffice. Good luck

    Hi Laurie

I may know of some wheels coming up for sale soon possibly this size. The people are selling them fitted with a set of Dunlop LM071 tyres. I think they were looking for $1400. Is this of any interest as I will get more details and photos if so ?

    Cheers Andrew

    Default 307 16" rims

Cole, thanks for that, I have looked at a couple of other possible donor cars, but haven't yet come up with a 16x7. Pretty specific, as I am looking to fit some Dunlop Direzza D03g soft compound tyres for competition. 7" is minimum width for the 205 profile I want to run.

I have been hunting down a couple of really fast Datsuns, and unless I suddenly become a much better steerer, I need some more traction. I need to find 1.88 seconds in a 1km hill climb to get onto the top step of the podium.

Can have racing wheels drilled for $350 a corner (not road approved) and may well go this route if I cannot find a set of suitable rims quickly. It will take 4 weeks to have them delivered if I go that way.

    Cheers.

if you can find a set of std 16" steel wheels in any width, take them to eastern wheel works and get 7" bands put on the centres. then you can also have a custom offset? doesnt cost anywhere new $350 per wheel and probley just as light

These are cheap but nothing excites me in the 16" range.

    Default Performance Wheels.

Peter, I am pretty certain that John Austin has Australian Performance Wheels on his 405, but I think they are the GTR wheel from the motor sport range. I have a price on these at $300 per corner drilled to suit hub and PCD. I am a bit impatient and would like to have a new set of tyres under my car for the next hill climb in 2 weeks.....

    Default 16x7 wheels

I have a set (4 only) of 16x7 ET12 wheels. I'm not sure if I want to sell them but will give it serious thought if you are interested.

What did your rims come off, do you have any pics? May be interested. Fall back option is a set of rims drilled to match, look just like the old Mini MiniLights.

Hope to hear from you, maybe email me a pic?

    Cheers.

The rims are standard issue BBS from a 406 coupe. You should be able to google a picture if you don't know what they are like. I can also take a picture tomorrow if you wish. They are in VGC but are also reasonably heavy for motorsport (~10kg, maybe 10.5kg each).

OK has anyone ever run ET12 rims on their 405? Any history on how increasing the wheel track by 34mm changes the handling characteristics?

givita_burl, if you are interested in selling your rims, PM me a price unless you want to post it here for other offers.

    Cheers.
