    Hi Chimbu
Didn't respond when I saw your ad as the one I have was offered to Kimmo, and isn't the age you're after. I take it you have the later top-mount headlights? If not, the only difference is the lack of holes for the washers in the later bonnet, afaik. Mine also isn't str8 - it has an "out" where the bonnet has been closed over a spare wheel that had something left on it.

Age of the car doesn't really matter ... Who knows what bonnet has been fitted over the last 30years....

You need to look at the back edge. There is different closing panels.

    early closing panel

    later closing panel with fans

bonnet on this early car has the indentations for the fans .... so it a later bonnet that should fit any car.

Bugger the series II bonnet is different again .... I doubt that bonnet with the indentations will fit my car

early bonnet with no "indentations" for the fans. This will only fit the early cars without some serious panel beating.

Interesting, Keith needs to replace the front section and the bonnet. The front section I have (and will give to Keith) is from Pallas IE '84 and it has got the bumps for the fans and top mount lights. I presume Bruce's bonnet is from Pallas '82 with no indentations?
    We'll sort something out....

    Default CX bonnet

Thanks Kimmo, Bruce, Shane et al,

The sages tell me that bonnets changed in 1982.

The dimensions and the primary catch ( inside release) are the same.
Post 7/82, Citroen changed the secondary (safety) catch.

For reasons I know not. Probably the catch installer had too much lunchtime vin rouge or something.

I have a perfect one, but am in Tassie. May '84 build.
Let me know if it helps.

    thanks Richo,

I'm interested. Have spoken to a removalist here on the gold coast. The quote was $440. They advised me to contact a Tassie company as it might be cheaper. Will investigate.
