    Default BRIS: Wrecking 406 sedan

    Hey guys 'n' gals;

    So I've just started wrecking a '97 406 sedan.

I basically bought the car for several panels and some suspension parts and the rest is up for grabs. It is a 4 cyl version but not sure about the condition of the engine/electrics yet as I haven't had a chance to play. Will endeavor to do this within the week. The interior of the car looks to be in pretty good knick.

Wont be asking much for parts as the pug cost me very little and as room/time constraints are an issue need most of it gone as soon as possible

Will post some pics of the car once i find my dang camera charger...

    Cheers, Jordan.

What colour is the car by chance? And does it have a leather interior?

Car is white and no leather interior apart from the dash. Seats are a grey pattern material.

So I had a play with the engine and it turns over nicely however, it appears to have some water getting around in it... will pull off the intake manifold etc to see the extent of it. All the electrics are functioning as far as i can tell. Dash lights up and interior lights and gadgets all work.

    Here's some pics as promised.

And I'll give these away to who-ever wants them. 16" advanti rims, rear tyres might be good to use, front are knackered.

What suspension bits did you keep for yourself - front or rear? I'm after some rear suspension bits for my 406 sedan.

I'm just looking at using the front struts and springs. Let me know if you'd like to come take a look at the rear suspension parts and i'll tee something up. All the rear is still in the car as i'm starting at the front and workin back

Thanks, Jordan. I'll have to see about a trip up to Brissy from southern NSW!

Would be nice at this time of year.

Lol yeah I didnt take notice of where u r situated ... I will pull the rear suspension out and check the shocks over. The car sits nicely, about 3-3.5 inches between the guards and tyres and it settles quickly when pushing on the car.

    Cheers, Jordan.

    Hi Jordan,

It is actually some arms and bushes that I'm after.

Peugeot won't sell them individually … grrr

I'll get a better description of exactly which arms etc I need and I'll be in touch.

    Cheers,
    Andrew

    Hey mate,

Do you have the RPO number of the car - the control arms off the front, changed in design during 97 and I wanted to see if they were the same between mine and yours?

Would you be willing to send them to Sydney?

    Cheers,

    Joel

Have sent PM, hoping the front brakes on the 406 are 283mm. If so, what price for the calipers, yokes and rotors?

    Hi Jordan,

Do you have at least one, but preferably two two-button remote keys for it? I only need the housings, I can swap the innards with mine so you can still start your car if you need it. I'm also in Brisbane and could collect. What area are you in? How much would you want for a key or two?

    Cheers,
    Scotty
