Default Our latest to good to wreck

This Renault 19 has just come in.

Its a very good car, everything works even the air conditioner. Car has been very well maintained by a fellow Aussiefrogger and Renault Car Club member, its quite clean and tidy and drives really well.

Its quite rare being the sedan version but it is optioned up with a factory rear spoiler, alloy wheels and driving lights, it even has RENAULT written along the bottom of the doors just to let the guy in the V8 Holden next to you at the lights know what he's up against.
Its only done 130,000 km, its manual and even the clock keeps perfect time.

We don't want to wreck it because its a good little car and would be perfect for someone looking for cheap reliable transport.

Price as is $550 without reg or RWC.

P.S. Don't take any notice of the dates in the photos because I just but new batteries in the camera and didn't reset it.

That analogue clock face looks remarkably similar to a late 504Ti clock face!

    Hi Dave,

I might be interested. Any clue about what it might need for RWC?

Not much if anything at all. Windscreen is boarderline depending on how well you know the inspector. Tyres are just pass, there doesn't appear to be any oil leaks and all I can pick by driving it is a rattle from the exhaust, sounds like a rubber mount is broken. The only other rattle is a real annoying one from the rear centre stop light thats SO DAMN ANNOYING I'M ABOUT TO THROW IT OUT THE WINDOW
Apart from that all is good

Hmmm... maybe, but I think it's a little pricey just for a clock...

Hope you find a good home for what seems a lovely car

We've wrecked so many 19's we'd have some clocks in stock.

Don't get me thinking! You wouldn't like me when I think!!!

Both my dad's and my 504s are early ones, so we'd (preferably) need the early clocks...

Just got an email from the previous owner with some service history.

The exhaust rattle happened after a new exhaust was fitted last year so is probably just an alignment problem.

    Things that were done 30k ago were;

Clutch (geniune Valeo), rear main seal, clutch cable, front discs & pads, timing belt and 4 engine welsh plugs.
Distributor oil seal, cap, rotor, plugs and leads. AC also regassed.

    Known faults for RWC are

LH headlight has a small stone chip.
    Windscreen (questionable)
    Front tyres. (boarderline)

This car was sold this afternoon (Monday) at 4.30
Thanks to everyone who enquired about it but the Sydney people were first in with the money.

Not much left at all. To my surprise the gearbox is still here. I would have with only 78,000km it would go real quick.
Anyway the whole rear bar is gone from the classic but there is a reverse light from an Si in stock for $27.50
The taigate is still here also.

I think the Si one is different to the Series 3 ones.... i may be wrong.
The series 3 ones have like a "white square' in the middle of them....has the Si?
Its to go on a series 3 so i want to stick to originality if i can???

Si has an oblong red light that lights up whitish, no square in the centre of the light.
