Spacers and adapters are out of the question. I was thinking of the Alpine rims (gotti's?)

If anyone can help me, it would be muchly apprietated!

    Default Smart Car Wheels

    Hi Jodie

The PCD on the smart car is different to the R8, R10

You can get Gotti from places like GBS http://www.gbsalpine.com/wheel/gotti/eng.html and Simon http://www.simon-auto.de/alpine/englisch/gotti.htm

    I have PLS Monaco's on my Alpine A110 http://www.wheelspecs.com/PLS-Monaco_wm2763.aspx

What ever you get it will not be cheap good luck in your search

    Default 3 Stud Alloy Wheels

Gotti wheels are around 500Euro each (from Mecaparts), so out of the reach of most of us.
I made enquiries about a year ago with Performance Wheels in SA, and they said they could supply superlites (copies of minilites) for the R8, with holes drilled to suit the R8.
I would though check to make sure the offset is correct to suit R8, as this is most critical.
They can be contacted on http://www.performancewheels.com.au
Alternatively you could get Ajax Wheels in Moorabbin to fit wide rims (5") on the centre, modified to produce a 14" x 5" inch rim for around $135 each. Again make sure the offset is correct.

Try Neway Wheels in Heidleberg, $135 sounds a bit much.

    Hi Jodie
When I fit the adaptors and wheels back on my R8 I will be selling my current rims.
They are 13" deep dish 3 stud.
Any luck with the steering housing please ?

I paid $250 to get my insert chromed and welded onto six inch chrome rim, which I thought wasn't to bad.
They are in Lilydale, but can't recall what they were called.

The 15" Performance Superlite wheels may need some modification to the steering arm as it will scrape inside the wheel. The arm can be set a little deeper into the hub assembly. I have these wheels on my 4CV and had to do some mods in this area, and found that my wheels scraped inside on the front of my friends R10.

Others must have fitted these wheels to R8/10. There is not much around at good price.

    Default Superlites

    Hi Alan,
Are you able to give a few more details regarding the mods you did to the steering arms to clear the inside of the wheel? Did you have new ones made up, or did you try someplace like Mecaparts? Can you supply a photo?

    Thanks everyone for the replies!

Ill have a look around and see what i can find.

I will be taking the 8 to the Eurora Show and Shine in Sept for its first show, before i start the re-painting. I have been their the past 2 years and yet to see a Renault there. I will be posting pics as i re-paint and customize it.

My plans are to to re-paint, lowered and re-do the inside to match the colour. It wont be a hoon car, but something that will attract attention.

I loved the idea of painting it X- Rated pink kandy with custom plates R8TED! But my husband thinks it's a bit too much!!! lol!

I welcome any comments and ideas...

Hey Angelo, I will reply at the moment. The wheels are 15x6 undrilled in superlite style. Alan had them drilled and modified, wuite simple to fit his 4CV. I tried them on my R10 at one stage, I have pics but no idea where at the moment.

Here's the link to the page at performance wheels.

    Hope that helps somewhat, Chris
