Default WTD - 504 Steering Wheel

I am after a steering wheel for a 1980 504. The current one has blistered and cracked and the cover has cmented on to the wheel.

Roly Pym has a good one for sale on ebay. I think the price is reasonable too.

You could get a leather sleeve sewn onto the existing one if it's not too spongy, but it probaby won't cost much less than that for a good job

Roland's is a very good price, but it is dark brown. Not a standard colour in Australia.

Should suit my camper though, whose wheel is a little bit rubbery in the usual spot.

Yep, as I was posting that I was thinking of the stylish brown one I had in my motorhome!

Yes, I saw that one, but unfortunately the dark brown simply won't suit! Agreed the price is very good.

Yes, thanks for that suggestion. I did see the one on eBay, but unfortunately the brown colour just won't suit! The price was definitely right.

And I also had considered having a leather cover sewn onto the existing rim, but the sun damage extends onto the spokes and hub of the wheel as well as the rim, and I think the wheel would become overall too 'thick'.

The existing one is actually roadworthy and quite firm, but just bugs me!

Otherwise, I think I have tracked a perfect, as-new one down in Melbourne. Not cheap, but it seems really good parts don't come cheap!
