    Default 404 fuel tank

The underside of mine looks like it was used as a kettle drum in the Edinburough Tattoo. Is this normal or are their reasonable ones in existence? 67 model

The 67 tank is different to the later tanks., although later tanks can be fitted by modifying the bracket on the front of the tank.

If the tank is really dented you need to tack weld a piece of steel on as a lever to pull the dents out. Panel beaters have "studs" and use a slide hammer.

Dry the tank out first by running a car exhaust into it for 30 mins.

If the tank has "oil canned" seal it up with timber/ rubber plugs and use compressed air to pop it out. Be careful it only needs a few PSI usually.

Many tanks you find will the same of worse, but they should be easy to find.
