Default Wanted power steering seal kit

I have a fairly bad power steering fluid leak, which my mechanic told me is coming from the seal on top of the steering pinion.

Apparently you used to be able to get seal kits, but they are no longer available.

Does anyone have one sitting around?

My only other option is to get a whole new steering pinion...

You could also try a power steering stop leak from you friendly rouges at repco etc. Apparently works on some leaks.

I'm sure that they are not universal - what type/model of car?
Those people that say I know - generally don't.

I may be wrong here (frequently am, according to all the experts here on AF), but I have always imagined that seals, like bearings, come in a (large) range of stock sizes, and the car manufacturers simply choose from what is available, rather than the other way round - i.e. machine something of an orphan size, and then ask the bearing and seal manufacturers to make something to fit.

If you took the existing seal(s) out and presented the sample at a bearing supply house, I am betting they could match it.
