    Howdy,

I'm looking for a good (non-cracked) exhaust manifold to suit my 89 gti.

    Cheers

You need early Xantia or S2 405, with 8 valve engine. It's an upgraded item. I doubt there is such thing as a non-cracked 1.9L manifold. However, I've got a 1.9L maniold here. It has a minute crack, approx. 2-3mm long in the corner, which will eventaully become a large crack! Yours for $30.

I have one that has come off a 92 series two 8v - I presume they are the same. I don't think it has any cracks but I haven't looked that hard at it either.

    I'll get back to you.
....now watch a Peugeot turn into a corner!

I have a 306 item on my 205 and it works fine.

    Plenty of options for you.

Thanks guys...so either an early Xantia, S2 405 or 306 will fit without any modifications to my original downpipe/cat...they have the tapered mating face and the spring/bolt clampy things?

I take it I'm better off with one of these than another 205 jobby which will inevitably crack down the track?

If so, does anyone have one of the above?

    Cheers
