    Default Wrecking: '75 504 Peugeot

At the risk of eternal regret, I'm wrecking my first car. No, I didn't drive it into the ground, but I sold it some years back with an agreement of first offer if he ever wanted to get rid of it. It came back in a sorry state.

Anyway, the engine has gone into my 404, and the suspension and front crossmember are going into another 504. I dunno if there's anything anyone might want, but the body is still structurally sound - even though it has not one straight panel. Nothing drastic, just a lot of car park style dints. It has a ti dash which I fitted before selling it - although I may keep the tacho (unless I find an early one).

I have no allusions regarding it's condition, but I thought if someone would like a sound body - ugly though it may be - it might make for a good rally body, or test bed or something...

It also has the tan velour interior. Servicable, but not schmick...

I'm well aware that I may get no bites, that's why I'm not looking for much money. I just hate to see unnecessary waste...

However, it does have a good BA7 gearbox.

I also have a good 404 radiator I removed (from a different car) last week.

I also have 1970 504 suspension which (for the right price) you may convince me to part with. These are good because the wheel hubs can be fitted to 404s and 403s, thus giving you a four stud pattern and four wheel disks. I was thinking they'd be great when I do a 403 one day, but that is looking like a long way off...

    Hi Binky,

What are the external rear view mirrors (especially the plastic edge on them), bumper bars and centre console section like?

    Did it have air conditioning?

    Thanks!

    Hi Demannu,

External mirrors - I'm not sure will have to get back to you

I think the centre console section is good, but will double check

Bumpers are dinted and missing overriders

    No, it didn't have aircon

I have had an offer for the whole car, so there are no longer ant parts available.

    Thanks for all the interest.

    Binky.
