    306 lowering springs

These were on Madpug's 306 XSi (chamelion paintjob) before he got coil overs. I've had them on my XR and they fit perfectly so I'd imagine they fit on any 306 that uses the same strut design.

They are Jamex brand, rated for a 60mm drop. I experienced more of a 70mm to even 80mm drop. So if you're looking for something low these will go low. I took them out because without uprated shocks the ride got a bit harsh. I wasn't after such a big drop either.

Here's a pic that shows the gap between guard and wheel. This was a couple of hours after lowering, it went down another 15-20mm lower after a few weeks of settling in.

Mind you, it could be different depending on how much your engine weighs and the shocks you have.

Anyone interested? Not sure whether to sell or get some konis to go with them.

60mm drop would put my tyres up under the guard by around 25-30mm
you still have 60mm air room on your pic and that was before the car settled
i keep thinking about lowering the car but i think these springs would drop the poor girl to the ground

The XR does stand quite a bit higher than the XSi and the GTi at stock. By measuring from jack points, my car stands at something like 20cm from the ground. On the lowered springs, it was about 13cm, the lowest point of my car was about 10cm from the ground, the little hook thing you can see welded onto the car inside the wheel well. Amazingly I didn't get much scrapage over speed humps etc, I suspect it was because the back was a bit higher than the front.

On a GTi, these springs might only lower it 4-5cm.

Pics of my car after being lowered are in the members pages.
