    505 parts

I am wrecking and selling 2 505 sedans, one almost stripped (has stainless exhaust system) and one almost complete (I will be removing the diesel engine only).
One set of 14" alloy wheel rims available (fits normal tyres!) - I would consider swapping some items for a diesel engine.

What do you need for the motor, I may be able to sacrifice some bits from my spare Turbo Diesel motor.

To cruiserman - The engine I am removing is complete but a tired and I will likely recondition it, but I have another motor that needs timing chain, sprocket, and tensioners etc that I may also reco - for a future boat project -
To Brodie Shields - the interior of both vehicles is brown, and both are series one. I think the vents etc are probably brown too - but not sure if we are talking the same items if you are interested in series II parts.
    Regards

If I can be an intermediary here... Brodie, are you still looking for that towbar?

Peter, is there a towbar available?

If not, I have a 504 towbar I can alter to suit a 505 for you, Brodie. If Peter has one for you instead, I can pick it up in about two and a half weeks, but I won't be heading to Tamworth. I'll be heading from there through Newcastle and Sydney to Harden.

    Peter and Ray,

Yes I am still after a towbar. That would be great, Ray, if you could pick it up. I should be able to meet up with you in Sydney about that time, if not I can get my son to meet up with you. He works in Flemington and lives near Camden.

Peter, pm me and let me know how much and how to pay you. As well as the seat belt covers, I was referring to the plastic air vents behind the rear seats, and I'm looking for a beige set in good condition from a series 1.

BTW, the GTi was admitted to hospital this morning to repair the damage done by that nasty barb-wire fence a few weeks ago. cry Hope to pick it up by Friday.

    Cheers,

Camden is good, we can harrass McBean!

I'm still keen to know if the 504 bar can be easily changed to suit a 505, so I might take the 504 bar with me to compare it.

Whichever way it goes, I have a 504 sedan towbar for sale... and I'm happy to alter it to suit a 505. I can use the welding practice with my new MIG...

Peter, it's a date. I'm working in Taree area the weekend of Sept 20/21... probably I'd be cruising by my ancestral habitat Sunday some time. That should put me in Sydney that night or the next morning... depending on what diversions I might make on the way.

I know those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, but are we looking for something to receive radio signals or the little mermaid?

    cheers!
