Default Swap - DS wheel trims, 2x Pallas for 2 x standard

Hi - I've got mis-matching wheel trims on my 1972 DSpecial 21 - 2 of the large curved polished stainless steel ones on one side, and 2 of the (I think) Pallas ones (with the raised point in the middle) on the other side. The Pallas ones feel and look like aluminium/alloy to me, although I have been told all the trims are stainless. The other pair are definitely stainless.

Has anyone got a pair of the "standard" ones they want to swap for the "Pallas" ones. I guess the Pallas ones are the more sought after, so I would imagine the swap would be a fair deal. The Pallas trims are in reasonable condition - not perfect, not horribly bashed, but a couple of dings/scratches.

If anyone thinks they have the type of trims I need, and need the type I have, I can send photos
to confirm we are talking about the right ones.

    Cheers,

    Hi
I have a Pallas but with 4 non Pallas trims!

I would be happy to swap a pair.
A couple of mine are badly scratched but I think I have two good ones to swap. I will check and take some photos.

I am in the market for at least a pair of Pallas trims (and maybe four if Dan swaps his elsewhere! )

    Hi Mark,

    Thanks for calling me today.

As I am Sydney and Michael (same thread) is also in Sydney, it's obviously a lot easier to swap with him if he's happy enough with the trims (they aren't perfect). So, I will give him first refusal (he e-mailed me last night). If he doesn't like them, I will let you know.

Oh, seems they are stainless - I gave them a bit of a clean, and they do polish up ok. They are definitely a different grade of stainless than the other ones - different colour, lighter, less polished appearance, etc. They are a bit dirty, looked a bit similar to aluminium surface corrosion. Anyway, should clean up ok.

    Cheers,

    Dan
