    R/H Front door for a 1979 504 Wanted!!

    Hi all,
I am looking for a drivers side front door to suit a 1979 504. As rust free as possible, white would be great (Not important), and in Melbourne would be superb.

    Can anyone help??

    Cheers
    Adrian Colman :p

    Wagon or sedan?

I know it's pedantic, but they don't interchange.

    Hey ray.

I have been offered a door.

are the 79 model sedan doors interchangable with other years?? or does it have to be from a 1979 model??

    Cheers

As long as it's a sedan door from a model with lift up doorhandles (late 75 on).

Though I think there may have been a change to the striker arrangement... check that out.

pugrambo probably knows... and McBean of course... and Graham Wallis.

PM whichever one of them is online at the moment.

All the lift up handle doors are interchangeble with each other (1975-2003) as far as I know, but the 75-76 models have a different door catch, which is easy to swap.

I even helped a friend fit later doors to a 74 model, but that required quite a bit of measuring, marking out, drilling and tapping and some special long 6mm countersunk allen headed screws.
