Default want to buy a GTI6 or S16 motor

    Hi Every one,

I am new to owning a peugeot, but not new to upgrading and restoring cars.
I have called like every peugeot wrecker in sydney, some have not even heard of an Xu10j4rs

any way I am after an s16 or gti6 motor for my 306 xsi 8v.

I am also after braided brake lines and sport/sprint shocks but I can't find anyone in Australia that caters for this market .... I have the cash and the time, but can't find anyone to sell the goodies.

do people even try to get more power from an 8v motor?

so far is spent the last 8 years building and racing the following:
    1 x tarmac rally spec MK1 escort
    1 x turbo ford probe
    1 x track spec 200sx (don't like drift)
    1 x 4 motion bora (daily driver)

now i want a motorkhana tramac spec 306.

HELP me find places to sell me the performance parts too

    cas

Get the braided Goodridge lines from JD on Fleabay, his seller name is "dusty789blue" from memory. Mine arrived (from the UK) about four days after paying - insanely fast.

You can pick up a basic 16V motor from a whole bunch of cars, option B might be doing that first, then playing the wait game for cams and exhaust at the right price.

Have you tried the UK for places who sell Peugeot performance stuff?
Join a UK site and look around there. if you are doing the mod fittings yourself, that might work out well.
Send magic, {look him up on the memberlist} a PM, he does builds for a living and will steer you the right way and could possibly supply some bits too.

Any reason your choosing the 306 xsi? Its probably cheaper and easier to buy and S16 or GTi6. There was a S16 for about 1500 on here not so long ago. ( before the crash probably )
I have a S16 motor in bits I may part with if you were thinking of rebuilding.

i was looking at getting an s16 but they are rare-ish in good condition
so I went for an xsi that was the right price, has abs, disks all round, sports seats and decent shocks.

just the engine is the issue now.

what condition the s16 engine in cam85?

Its been pulled apart so you would have to rebuild it.
Try David Cavanah in Melbourne. Hes a sponser on her and may be able to point you in the right direction.
I know of a 2.0l T motor from the Cit Xantia CT motor for sale. Pm me for details.

I think we've found one buried down the back, its taged GTi6 so that should make it a XU10J4RS.
We'll attempt a salvage operation tomorrow

Would you have a water union down there also? The one that bolts on to the block with the bottom radiator hose and 3 other smaller hoses come out of.
