Default Bucket loads 504 and 404 gear [WA] (and some 505/405)

    Hi all.
I'm normally logged in as smueller99au, but the account has been destroyed in the IT fire. Anyway, we're back in WA now and I'm cleaning out the shed (getting rid of the possums actually!). I've got a heap of 504 sedan and 404 wagon stuff here.

    504:
    Diffs
    Gearboxes
    XD2 diesel engine
    front guards
under doors panel (goes from front to back of car - unpicked from a rust free one)
    interior (dark brown, from 1980's)
    headlights
    carbs
    random stuff
heaps of rims, some with good tyres fitted
also wagon rims (the ones that the subaru people like)
    trapezoidal headlights
steering racks (including one 604 PS rack with pump)
Diesel rear 1/2 shafts complete with drum brakes
    Windscreens, side windows, rear windows
Rear sun visor type thing - black Augner?
Bonnet and heaps of boot lids

    404:
    station wagon rear axle
4 x 165x80R15 tyres off the rim (prob 90% tread left)
    station wagon rims
    sedan rims
interior door cards (dark brown), probably for the wagon (pretty sure)
    lots of interior parts
brand new headlight surrounds with mounting (i need to photograph this)
404 wagon drum brakes, early model with non-boosted brakes
    Windscreen
    Bonnet (pretty good condition)

    505:
    headlights
    tail lights
    power windows
    XD2S power steering pump

    405, etc:
    LS468? oil filters ?

There's other stuff, but I haven't got to it yet.

Please email me (stephen at smueller dot id dot au) or call me on 0412 969 891. All the parts are in my shed in Mundaring (Perth hills). It all has to go very soon. The tip is just down the road so anything not gone quickly will find it's way there. <pity>.

I can get things to Perth city if need be. I'd just pop them in the back of the 504 wagon.

    IT'S ALL GOT TO MOVE!!

Oh, and there's a heap of W108/W109 and W111 spares for Mercedes if anyone's after some. That's the 1960's and 1970's (early) S-Class sedans.

    Steve.

    HI.

Are the 505 rear lights from a series 2? If so how much do you want for those?

Does the XD2 run and does it have a matching gearbox and clutch?(or associated bits if it's an auto?) If so, how much do you want for those?

Also, do you have any interior trim ect for a series 2 505?

What are the 504 wagon wheels you speak of?

The next time I' be in Perth will be the 27th of November, would it be okay to come and pick stuff up then? We might be able to organise an earlier trip if necessary but we're pretty busy 'till then.

    Thanks

    Hayden

    Hi Steve,

At the start of my latest thread, I have a 504 wishlist. Are you able to help me with any of these parts?

The tail lights are for a series one, which have come from an SRDT.

The XD2 was taken from a car that had a busted clutch. I have never had it running. It was from a manual, and I'm pretty sure I'll have a gearbox to match (diesel input shaft and large bellhousing, late model shifter).

    Got nothing I'm afraid.

504 wagon rims are different from the sedan rims. They have the same stud pattern but the bolts holding them on are tapered, instead of having that rotating flange. They also have additional placement holes that match the pins (about 5mm?) on the hubs.

27th is no problem. I'm getting rid of stuff quite quickly though, so if there's anything you want me to hold let me know.

Sorry Scotty. Got nothing from your list apart from front and rear window seals. However, I suggest you get new ones from ebay. They seem ok, and for around $100 each they're not bad going. I put some on a sedan I had previously.

Thanks Steve, I'll follow that up.

I'm interested in the sill (under door) panels that you have. Where they unpicked neatly? Not bent anywhere where someone has tried to jack the car up wrong?

Would you be able to box them up roughly and I'll arrange a courier?

I have only one of those panels. Best I take a photo and send to you so you know what you're in for. It looks pretty good, but that's only from my eyes.

Bugger. I think I threw all the carbs. I did have a 2 x dual throat carb set off the 220S I had some time back. I don't know what I did with them though. Lets see what turns up.

All the carbs from the 280S got thrown... I'm a 3.5 V8 with d-jet man, so carbs are no good to me.

I'm also looking for a rear window seal. I've been told that those brand new ones on ebay are not the greatest quality, but you reckon they are ok Steve? I wouldn't mind if you could have a closer look at what you've got and tell us if they'd clean up ok. I'd be interested in one if they are good enough.

    Hi John.
I checked this morning as I was running off to work. I have 2 screens both with seals. BUT, I think they're both front windscreens, not rear. Give me a while and I'll report back.
    Cheers.

    Default 404 lights

    Hi Steve,

Anything is better than nothing. Would you mind putting them in the post and let me know the cost plus postage and I will get the money to you pronto.

If you care to go into the simca forum under "early aussie vedette" you will see a pix of the car that I have posted, not finished yet but very close!

    Kind regards

    John
