    BX 16 Trs bits wanted.

Does anyone know of anyone who may have a BX 16 Trs engine block for sale.
It's not for me but for a guy I met yesterday who is rebuilding one for his daughter. His has a nice hole corroded through it as well as a crack at the base at where the liners fit in.
He only really needs a basic block as he has all the bits to recon the motor but may consider a complete unit or at least a short motor.
Next problem may be freight as it has to go to Maryborough, however I'm sure that won't be a problem once a motor or block is found.

If it ain't broke, use a 12" shifter.....that usually does the trick!!

Spoke to him the other week and suggested Martin Bray - I assume he had no luck there?
Is the Pug 205Si block the same as the BX? I suggested he also look into this as an option.

I mentioned Martin too but I wondered if there were any in wreckers yards in Bris seeing as how there have been a few cheapies arrived & departed to unknown destinations in the past few months.
There have been a couple go through the auctions as well as the backyard tyre kickers.

Gave him the wreckers in Bris I knew that sometimes carried BXs.
Haven't got to any auctions lately, or any wreckers/ repairers, or anywhere but work come to think of it.
Will be in Cairns next week when the C5 diesel comes up at Fowles Brisbane so I'll miss it too.

I have a feeling David C. at french connection had a few 19GT's there. That would be an excelent way to liven a 16trs auto. Simply bolt in the carby 19GT donk (apparantly it's more powerful than the later injected donks). However if it has that crapful auto-box, it may not be able to handle the extra horses
