    205 Air Con Part available

System has been converted and seems to be ok. Still in car with 99k and has only been off the road for 2 or so months.

As this car will be primarily used for track work air con is not needed and will soon be pulled out.

Let me know if you need anything.

Did you take the unit our from behind the dash? If so how hard was it. Worried about the dash falling apart

Hi Parry, nope I haven't pulled the dash stuff out (yet )

We just removed the 2 heavy pieces from the engine bay - compressor and ? and the main feed piping. The remainder of the pipes were light aluminium so have left them in for now as they were quite difficult to get to.

    Cheers

Is removing the AC an automatic disqualification from GRP Type1?

for eg: I thought if the AC was an option, you should be able to remove it, like wise if the LSD was a factory option you should be able to add it not changing the originality of the vehicle.

But I think in this case PArry was talking about his new track car which due to 16valves will be a Type3 so AC becomes a mute point.

Adrian also argued that he should be able to run in the All British Day, on the grounds that all RH drive Pugs are built in the UK. But didn't suceed.

I was only joking Parry. I don't have to worry about technicalities while ever you're behind me.........which may not be for long if you keep getting the extra track time in!

Fingers crossed, I should be back in action for Sept. Wakefield.

Suzuki Swift unit (everything from inside the engine bay associated with AC) weighs 42kg's.

I would imagine something very close in a 205.
