Mi16 ECU

Mi16 ECU wanted. Must be 160bhp, not Australian delivery 148bhp.

Peter,

I think you may be looking at mission impossible out here. Give this site a go as there are a lot of series one BX 16 valves being scrapped & I would imagine they would have the same ECU. If you have a number it would be a safer bet. If no onje can help here, they may be able to point you in the right direction.
If you have no luck, try the BX 16 valve Homepage as they also have a classifieds section.

Hope this helps you out.

If it ain't broke, use a 12" shifter.....that usually does the trick!!

Austalian BX's have the 148bhp ECU as well, ie XU9J4Z engine. The 160bhp model ECU has only two rows of connection pins, not three.

I myself own an 89 405 Mi16 and I know how hard it is to get parts. They are very hard to find over here in the U.S. I have found this site to be particularly excellent www.pugspares.co.uk They almost definatley will have the part u need or will be able to get it for you. Good Luck

The low power (148-150 HP) Mi16 XU9J4 is not only equipped with a different ECU, it has lower compression (9.5:1 vs. 10.4:1).

So you'd need more than an ECU to get to 160 HP.
