    Michelin TRX Tyres wanted

Does anyone around the Canberra area have any Michelin TRX 15x6 tyres that are still good that they could sell. If not, Where can you get them and are there others brand/types that will fit?

    best of luck
P504 i heard had some but they are pretty well near the end of their lives
milperra tyre service get them in at times but you just have to keep checking with them
one alternative i have found out is that you can machine the 390 wheels to suit 15"
there was a bloke in Vic doing this without any adverse side effects but to his where abouts i don't know now
but i have heard of another doing it in NSW and i know a bloke that is going to get his done and when he does he is going to let me know the outcome
from what he has worked out there is very little you have to do to the wheel to fit the 15" tyres onto a 390 wheel
i will keep you posted about this
the other alternative is to re-drill the PCD to suit another pattern ie 4 in 108 like 306 or even 5 stud holden or ford

Eastland tyre centre in melbourne may be able to help with supply of TRX's, phone stafan at 03 9878 8486

otherwise have you considered a set of 15 inch aftermarket wheels, or 15 inch peugeot wheels from another model.

15" wheels are 381mm. 15" tyres could possibly be stretched onto a 385mm rim, meaning 5mm would have to be machined of a 390mm rim (i.e thickness reduced by 2.5mm).

I have a set of TRX's on my 504, I am currently running good re-treds, they seem OK !

Maybe a cheap option for the time being? my TRX re-treads were $40 each from memory !
