Have you got any pics of them? I'm after a cheap second set for the 205 atm...

20mm offset would be acceptable on a 205 wouldn't it?

    al,

Is the series 1 in your avatar your car?

If so mate, i doubt 16's would fit under it, and if they do, it would probably be without any tyres on the rims.

I have a series 1 I crammed 6.5 inch rims under, these were 15 inch rims and the tyres were 55 series, and they rubbed the wheel arches as well as the body at the front of the wheel arch. I replaced these with 15" x 6" Speedlines as they fit and are the correct offset.

Get 15" speedlines if you can, these made a fair bit of difference to the way the car handles, and you can slot the series 2 (3?) Girling calipers on without any mods. They work a darn site better than the original Bendix jobbies that are standard.

I wasn't sure about that - although i know pugjet is running 205s on his 17s... 205 55 probably would pose problems, but putting something with a lower profile on would sort that wouldn't it?

Incidentally, i've done some searching, and do the wheels look like any of these?

If they are any of the "cool" ones i might pass...

    al,

They looked a bit like the "racelace" jobbies at the bottom, and they had to be bought as a blank centre due to the odd offset and PCD, they arent anywhere near common enough to mass produce an aftermarket wheel for (in Oz anyway) and have it sell to anyone else but a 205 driver

195/55 Falken Azenis rubbed on the body work let alone the plastic arches (the rear I am talking about, and granted, mine is lowered, but I know for a fact they rubbed on a standard heights series 2 (3?) ), so, 16's would have to rub, either that or the rubber will be such a low profile, you would need a kidney belt to drive over a shadow.

195/50 series tyres on a 15" 205 rim fit, arent to small or big for the car, and as i said, the later brakes bolt on with these rims fitted.

    Cheers

I did think it was stupid to pay what people are asking for the 15'' 205 wheels, but they just look so good. I think i will just get a set, even though they will probably be worth what i paid for the car...

And that link has the current range of suncorp wheels... i was wondering if there was a pic in there of the ones rue is selling.

I think Reg had problems fitting 17s on his series 3, but they fit on his series 1 for some reason. Correct me if I'm wrong!

JR, what are the rims on your 205? Are they gutman ones?

    Hi Al,
The PIG runs on 15" Factory Goodwood rims [very rare wheels from limited edition UK 205 ]
Around town i use the 15" deep dish alloys from Germany [the brand escapes me atm ] They have a 15mm offset which is perfect for a 205

I think they were the ones on your car when i saw it. They looked unreal, although i sense they aren't easily available here.

I didn't realise that you have a CTI either... There can't be many of them in aus.

Ronals are not easily available. I believe there are approx. 5 CTI's in OZ.
Try going to a German wrecker and see if they some early BMW or Audi wheels
some of these had low offsets like the 205.
The Nazi wrecker in Bris has scores of wheels on racks...might be worth a viit when you come up M8 !!

Sounds like a good idea. I'm trying to line up as many activities as possible, as too much time with my parents and i tend to suffer rage blackouts...

Surely anything off a kraut is going to have the wrong stud pattern, isn't it? Are you using hub adapters?

I'll bump this ad, as i'm sure someone will be interested. I went and saw them yesterday, and they are an absolute bargain. I would buy them, but i am really after some peugeot wheels...

Anyway, they are these ones, and they felt pretty light for 16s.

They should fit a 205 easily with 205 45 16 tyres, and obviously they will go straight onto a 306/406.
