    Default Free carpet

    Hey there,

I was just climbing through the dumpster pulling out a lot of great looking carpet squares which have been removed from a lecture theatre at uni. I've put some in my pugs and I have a pile of 10 left over in the boot. They are very hard wearing rubber backed pieces of carpet, and they look relatively newish. If anyone in Melbourne would like some (they fit great in 505's), or anyone up the Hume Freeway to Albury/Wodonga, let me know. There's heaps more in the dumpster (near Rotunda for those uni-ers), so I can get more if you like. I'll try to hustle a photo.

    Cheers, Steve.

Are we talking serious, monash uni stuff here? Seeing as i was subjected to that many hours of pain in the 'tunda, it would be nice to get some value from it. (the arts degree really won't help here)

I need some carpet for my boot - will it be big enough?

This is prime carpet. It's so typical of the uni to piss my money down the drain. How deep is your boot and how wide is it? I'll go and rescue some more at sun-up before it gets more buried. The carpet is modular and you can tile your boot and get a sharp knife to do the rest of the work. I'd say each square is about 600x600mm. You can borrow some from the local hospital to see whether you like it first.

I just gave 'S16' some carpet in return for some speakers and almost swapped my SRDT for his Clio Sport. What a freakin' rocket. I had no idea cars like this existed!

    Monash eh?

I'd be interested in enough to carpet my 16, what colour?

From memory, it's a blue kind of speckled hue. You couldn't do your entire car as it is modular and therefore wouldn't contour the floor etc. But, you could use it for the boot, in the foot wells of the car, in the gym to put your weights on... the list is endless, anything but the entire car.

Let me know how much you want and I'll try to satisfy your every need.

    Steve.

Ha! I reckon the soon-to-be little one would get a nasty bum rash, and maybe pick up some uni student germs - end up joining the young Liberals, running the country...nooo!!

Ok kids. I still have a fair bit of this on my 505 passenger seat that needs somewhere to live. I'll take a few bits out for the floors and boots for my tractors, then the rest is still up for grabs. Probably have about 10 squares left.

Would the people who've already taken some carpet like to testify as to how great this stuff is? It's the bomb.
